OPI Here Today, Aragorn Tomorrow + Topcoat

This is just a really short post as I've already put this on and taken photo's but I hadn't taken pictures with a topcoat. I lost my Sally Hensen one so I had to put on my gloopy seche vite and the manicure lasted all of 5 minutes before getting chipped (which was a shame as I was away for the weekend). I managed to hide the chippage by putting Barry M Crackle stuff on top of it but I then chipped that before I took any pictures so there is none to show you (which isn't too bad as it didn't really look that brilliant anyway, the green was too dark underneath the Barry M!)

George Warrior

Another George one today, I wasn't as impressed with this one as the previous ones I have but I think it's because it's such a wishy washy colour, it's very subtle and I'm not a massive fan of taupy golds. Also this one went a little bubbly on the nail after I'd applied it, although that could be down to my application skills as I was a little distracted yesterday!

I'm away now on and off until Sunday so there won't be any updates from me now until at least Monday I'd have thought!

OPI Jade is the New Black & topcoats-ago-go

I'll start with a warning about this post, it's going to be picture heavy! I put this on last night and as with all OPI polish it goes on really well and it actually dried really well too ( I managed to stay still long enough and not smudge it!) I put two coats on and a top coat. The colour though, I'm not convinced. I like it in the bottle and I know it's a cult product and Dell have used it as inspiration for one of their laptops but I don't know, there's just something about it I just don't like. And for me to not like a green is quite frankly bizarre!

Pictures have to be small because otherwise it's an epically long blog post but they are clickable so you can see a full size picture if you click on them. Also let me know what you think of the font change if you can see it?!

Artificial Light
And an actual bottle shot!

So given I wasn't massively keen on it, but didn't want to remove it and do a new mani, after my stupidly busy day at work I though I'd play around with some top coats. All of these are taken in the last of the daylight.

I used Andrea Fulerton Gemstone:

I found George in Asda do a fine gold glitter top coat:

And matte

They also do a silver one:

George Silver glitter
And matte
Then I wondered what it'd look like with elf twinkle on top :D

& Matte!

And because it all started because I wondered what JitNB would look like matte, here's a picture of that too!

Full hand shots just because I did them and why not since I'm at it!

Andrea Fulerton Penelope

As I've got a bajillion brown's in my pile (and I wanted something a bit more muted than the uber pink I had on yesterday) I thought I'd give this one a go. It's a lovely chocolate brown colour that shows up on photo's slightly darker than it appears in real life. It goes on quite smoothly but it took an age to dry properly and I ended up smudging my thumb on one hand and when I woke up I had creases in it which you can see in the pictures. Most of these are taken under artificial light except for the two before the last picture. The last picture has a really fine glitter top coat on (as I can't seem to stop fiddling with brown when I put it on!!)

I'd like to try more Andrea Fullerton, especially the more expensive duo/trio colours she does but I'm on a "no more polish" trip at the moment until I use up some of my current stash so that'll have to wait for a while!!!

China Glaze Sugar High

Firstly, this is wowomg PINK! I looked at it in the bottle and online and still wasn't prepared as to how neon this is on me. I knew it was going to be bright but it packs a bright neon punch! It goes on really well, I'm still a little clutzy so I managed to ruin a nail on both hands and I didn't have time to sort it out unfortunately. Even now looking at these pictures, it doesn't manage to capture just how bright this one is! It's one to wear if you love 80's neon pinks!

Accessorize Goddess

And onto the greens ...

As I think I've said with every accessorize polish I've tried, this is lovely! I'm highly tempted to go to Superdrug and get more as they are on 3 for 2 at the moment but I'm on a strict no spend month as I've got a bajillion things happening in Feb/Mar (Tax disc for car, MOT for car, girly weekend in Birmingham, Vienna with P for our 30th birthdays so February's pay has to stretch for all of that!). Anyway back to the polish! It's a lovely green, very shimmery and bright without being neon. I pretty much can't fault it!

As I don't really have much more to say other than it's fab! Here are a ton of pictures!! All taken under artificial light except the two labelled flash!
